Practice and Philosophy
Practice Description
My practice is unique in that it focuses on “the
whole person." Each of us is a compilation of all of
the events up to the point at which you arrive in my office.
Consequently, as a physician working with you, together we
will explore the options which can lead to your optimum health.
Osteopathic
manipulative medicine is the emphasis of my practice.
Philosophy
Osteopathic medicine trusts in the human body’s natural
capacity to heal and regulate itself. Osteopathic physicians
are trained in up-to-date medical knowledge, medications and
the use of the latest technology. This training is augmented
with a hands-on treatment tool known as osteopathic manipulative
treatments, or OMT. OMT can provide a non-invasive tool to
help maintain or facilitate health and, in some cases, can
be used in place of medication or surgery. Applications for
OMT include chronic pain, migraines, dizziness, nerve palsies,
fatigue, sports injuries, motor vehicles accident injuries,
digestive disorders, post-partum stress and others. The benefits
of OMT --- pain relief, non-force, gentle and safe for all
ages — are enormous, which is why I have chose this
specialty of medicine.
